Hi Guys,

My name is Glenn and I am a 40 something Soulboy from a town called Reading in the UK

I have for as long as i can remember had an insaisiable appetite for music.  Although i have an eclectic taste in music it was the Soulful type sounds from the 70's that really caught my ears.  During this time i enjoyed listening to the legends Robbie Vincent and Tony Blackburn.  Then through into the 80's with the likes of Tony Prince (Radio Luxembourg) his Disco Mix Club (DMC) was a regular listen (Tape Lol) for me.  DJ's were invited to send in mixes of the hottest club tracks of the day which further opened my ears to the 80's sound and ignited my interest in mixing.  This progressed further into Clubbing, Weekenders, Soul Mafia DJ's (Froggy, Chris Hill, Chris Brown etc) and the sounds of the 80's Pirate Stations.  Not to forget the frequent train journeys to London Record shops to pick up the hottest tracks (Groove Records being a big fave)

Then the inevitable next step......... DJ-ing!!

I started in 84 as a Box Boy, did a few warm up spots, before getting a start as a resident Jock playing at many clubs/pubs both independent and chains over the years.  I have in the past 35 years built up quite an extensive Record Collection and I am still a proper Old School Vinyl maniac.  I currently still enjoy digging for new Vinyl/Choons both in the UK and on my regular visits to the USA

After nearly 25 years of DJ-ing in clubs, this is my first venture on radio.  I look forward to sharing with you some great music, of which some is old and some is new on the "BOX of TRIX" Soul Show
