Hi,

Born and bred in Essex. My passion for soul and disco music came from the lunchtime school disco sessions when in between Hawkwinds "silver machine" and Slade there would be the odd James Brown and Jackson 5 played!! My curiosity was fuelled and I was tagging along the local youth centre plaguing the D.J to play these tunes and more,The D.J moved on to other things (he's now my best friend) and I was invited to take his place on the Decks!! The journey had begun,my apprenticeship was served at the youth centre and then to parties and weddings etc,In the late seventies I was invited to the Embassy club in colchester to jock at an all-nighter, I had a great reception and from there on became a resident at the infamous "Sunday Soul Club" with Gary soul and many guests,Having had such a great relationship with the regulars there it felt like a great big family with trips to gigs and "Caister". Like all great things they come to an end and we all moved to pastures new,many gigs and residencies down the line,I had a break from jocking until a guy called Andy H invited me to a pirate station which was a great buzz, a few more pirate and community stations later and it was regular club DJ'ing again,Now we have taken this to another level with the advent of p.c's and the internet and the ability to reach many like minded people all over the world!! with JFSR, the next level seems a lot closer and with the Enthusiasm of Dave Marley and the great team of D.J's he has assembled what next?? I feel privileged to be here and the journey has started for real,onwards and upwards spreading the love of black music that we all share.
