Hello one and all,

My name is Dave and I was born in good old South London 45 years ago

Soul music was a passion from an early age and I remember buying my first record by Forrest and "Rock the Boat" on a  7 inch single from Reed records in Peckham

Back in the mid 80's Radio London was playing the music I loved. DJ's such as Tony Blackburn and Robbie Vincent were banging out the tunes that I still love to this day

I thought I knew a bit about soul music but I soon discovered I hadn't even scratched the surface after a chance meeting with Dave Marley

I had a spare ticket for a soul weekender at Butlins and Dave brought it. We enjoyed a great weekend and he blew me away with his knowledge and opened up another world to me

Now, some 6 months later I find myself lucky enough to be living a dream I never thought possible. I am so grateful to Dave for giving the chance to DJ on this great station and feel very humbled as I have never done anything like this in my life

It's a great family here at JFSR and I hope you tune in and enjoy the shows
