I am a happily married man born in the early 60's and have been a massive music fan all my life. I can remember getting a bus into Southend-on-sea town centre with my older sister to buy "Band Of Gold - Freda Payne" (Guy Norris Records!) ... and I remember the excitement of putting the record on for the first time ... I was hooked!

I started collecting vinyl soon afterwards, and continue to do so to this day. With the Internet at my disposal I have been buying some of the tracks that I missed (or rather stupidly sold) and trying to "complete" my collection ... an impossible task!

Although I appreciate the sound quality of vinyl, I am not collecting records for the sake of it. I am as happy to own a particular track on CD (or Mp3) ... for me it is about the music, rather than the format. Many of the tunes you will hear on my shows are from CD, but there is also a fair amount that are played from the original 12" Single

Disco Soul and Jazzfunk are my favourite genre's of music, but I also own a fair amount of rock, pop, blues, etc

I started doing shows for internet radio back at the beginning of 2009 after a chance encounter with Dave Marley on YouTube. After a couple of months of producing pre-recorded shows I took the plunge and went live and I have been a regular presenter ever since, first on (the now closed) Morpher Radio and since 2010 on JFSR
