Born in St. Peter Barbados 1961. I arrived in the UK via Manhattan NY as a fresh faced 15 year old with a healthy appetite for Soul, Funk and Jazz music. Reason being was that my father had a passionate appreciation of Soul music and any musician full stop. He could hear every instrument on a recording on his first listen. What an amazing talent

 

In 1976 my father bought me my first record on my 15th birthday, because I heard it playing on the 8 track in his car and loved the groove. It was called 'Zimba Ku' by Black Heat...Funny thing is he also said he'd knock my ass out if he ever caught me touching his record player.... That's how it all began

 

My first experience of radio presenting was back in 1992 with WNK Radio in Wood Green North London. I presented a late night Slow Jam/Sweet Soul show called 'The Bedroom Murzurka' with fond and everlasting memories. Plus I enjoyed the added bonus of the 'Soul Spectrum' Legend Greg Edwards, being the programme controller at the time too

 

From there, I moved on to spend a short time working at BBC Radio 1 before I got a very lucky break into the world of Voiceover's in 1995. My voice is now recognised on TV/Radio adverts and movie trailers worldwide, and as they say, the rest is history

 

How I got to be presenting on this GREAT station was in the hands of the Gods. I truly believe that

 

I was simply searching youtube for a song that I had let get away years ago, and I came across Greg doing his stuff on Morpher and having a good time from what I could see.... Anyway, scrolling along the bottom of the page was the web address www.vinylmorpher.co.uk... I tuned in....I fell in love....I was addicted....I was in heaven. lol... I sent The Guvnor an email, and (as I've learnt to say in a really good east end accent now.. ish) Bish Bosh!! Here I am

 

I grew up on Soul 'Spectrum' or 'The Robbie Vincent Show', and all the pirates of that era

 

The Clubs you went to... I went to

 

The all dayers you went to... I was there

 

The all weekenders that you survived... I was probably in the chalet or caravan along the way working up a sweat

 

The Dj's you followed... I followed them too

 

The night busses home..........You get my drift
