Hi everyone.

I'm 53 years old (2014) and live in Hertfordshire, but I was born and brought up in North London.

I got into DJ'ing at 15 years of age when I was in the Venture Scouts, I can even remember the first song I played at our first scout disco, Boogie Nights by Heatwave. I followed that by helping a local dj with his mobile disco occasionally getting to spin a few discs even though the music wasn't what I really wanted to hear, I wanted to play the music I loved, Jazz-Funk, Soul and Disco.

So on the nights I wasn't helping out you'd find me at The Royalty in Southgate with my mates, listening to all the latest anthems. I can even remember seeing McFadden & Whitehead there miming to Ain't No Stopping Us Now.

Anyway, eventually I saved up enough cash to buy my own second-hand equipment and went out on my own as Champagne Discos, the rest is history.

Just after my oldest daughter was born back in 1983 I moved from London to Hatfield and was lucky enough to get a spot as resident DJ in Hatters nightclub for a few years and have also done a stint in The Living Room nightclub in Hemel Hempstead.

I first heard of Dave Marley while browsing through YouTube and came across this guy who had the best taste in music, followed the links and found Morpher Radio. Listening to the songs I loved in my youth gave me the urge to share my music again, thanks to Dave I've been with JFSR for nearly four years with my regular Monday night show and been able to play live again at Bless The Funk.
