The Venue

The Ilchester Arms offers exclusive use of the conservatory, tea room and patio, with your own bar and toilets, the venue is completely segregated and can be as intimate or extravagant as required.

We offer truly spectacular views of St Caherine’s Chapel on the hill, with some excellent positions for photos. The chapel also offers the opportunity for blessings and ceremonies, overlooking the famous Jurassic Coast line, with views from Portland, over Abbotsbury Swannary, Abbotsbury Gardens and round to the Golden Cap.

The venue can cater for up to 60 guests for the wedding breakfast and can increase by 90 guests for the evening event.

With a good size dance floor and a 24 hour license, the usual wedding venue limitations of 11pm finish time does not count for us, and we love to see you and your guests dancing into the night.

The hotel has nine double rooms, and the village alone boasts 11 more bed and breakfasts venues with 35 rooms potentially available.
